Skin Teeth
Biography
Ned Woodman, better known under his alias Skin Teeth, is a Manchester-based producer, DJ, and visual artist whose roots trace deep into the UK rave landscape. His journey began at age 13 during the 1992 rave boom, diving headfirst into hardcore breakbeat culture and picking up DJing shortly after. Prior to forging his identity as Skin Teeth, Woodman was an integral part of The Magnet Men, a project that helped lay his foundations in heavy, bass-driven music. Drawing his moniker from Noise Factory’s iconic 1992 track “Skin Teeth,” his solo work channels that same raw, unadulterated energy, balancing peak-time velocity with gritty, sub-heavy dynamics.
Beyond his solo output, Woodman is the founder of Torre, an independent record label named after the XVI Tarot card that serves as a home for dark 140 BPM breakbeat, jungle, and underground sound-system culture. His creative scope also extends to high-profile collective efforts, notably collaborating with artists like Microcosm, Obsidian Wave, and Rawtrachs on the We Kill Culture series. A multi-talented creator, Woodman doubles as a professional illustrator and graphic designer, crafting distinctive goblin-esque visual art and cover designs that mirror the dark, chaotic aesthetic of his music.
